There’s a right good-’ol donnybrook going down over at NorCalBlogs.com/Post_Scripts right now. It’s a profoundly bigoted, irrational and long-winded discussion about ending woman’s right to vote in response to some rightwing nutjob’s article. Here are some excerpts:

“My mother always said giving women the right to vote was stupid.

She claimed that they already had the right to vote and exercised it at the diner table and in the bedroom.”

“Spot on.

Women voting eventually leads to socialism, especially when more and more women are liberated — i.e., reporducing without husbands, and therefore looking for Big Brother to being a father to their little bastards.”

And an editor with no concept of Irony. At all:

“Only an arty XXXX would say someone was “played like a stradivarius.”

Editor: We do not tolerate hate speech. Using the term arty F- - - - violated our policy for public decency.

Do it again and you will banned for life.”

Join in! Unless you happen to be a woman, of course, in which case you’re “not logical” enough and the author of this article would prefer you to shut up and go make babies/him a sandwich. Commenting on drivel like this is men’s business, sweet cheeks. /sarcasm

UPDATE: On further inspection, the article in question is actually arguing that women are too sympathetic and illogical to vote properly. Of course…
